It seems that the world over a "freedom movement" is taking place. The generation of boomers have finally taken charge of their destiny. Stuck in place where they can't live under the shadows of their elders nor can they be as confused as their younger generations, the boomers have taken upon themselves to live the rest of their life enjoying independence and liberty.
The intrinsic need of a person is "expression of his individualism", and with mass media and internet playing the music of freedom, liberty and anti - establishment at full blast its very hard for the oppressed not to wonder. The Egyptian got rid of a corrupt establishment and will soon enjoy a democratic leadership which will allow for the first time the individual to rise in the country.
We the so called Generation X born and brought up in a democratic, secular and tolerant country sometimes take the freedom given to us for granted. Since birth we are not the slaves of royalty nor the followers of a community leader. We were groomed with formal education not is religious textures. The world is an oyster to us rather than a mine field. We made decisions because its us who want to do it, we don't follow some mislead people.
This is the true power of our generation, this is want our ancestors fought for. Freedom is when I express myself here without any inhibitions about my words.

This time around I ain't feeling ''New Yeareee'', one of the years which I am completely clueless about. I've always been a person who always keeps tabs of things going around in the world; world politics and sports. But I just realized that I'd lost my grip of them the past year, I got way to involved with myself that at the end of the year I found myself not knowing stuff.
Now I need to get back on track.
1st January, a bomb went of in Guwahati,
2nd Sri Lankan Army storms in against LTTE.
The Middle East crisis intensifies,
there is just no stop to the killing.
Insurgency
Terrorism
What Next ?
I say my life sucks, well there are scores of people out in the world today who don't even have a chance to say this.

1-2-3 Agreement
Read the actual text of the agreement here.
The country stands divided on it,
so does the parliament.
Lately Iv heard the arguments from both the sides,
both have given logical and concrete reasons for their stand,
both have interpreted or misinterpreted the nuke deal
both have viewed it under different lights
I stand divided on it.
So tell me what do you make of it,
Do you view it as U.S encroachment ?
or
India's gateway in becoming a super power ?
Please leave a comment or
Mail me at

Thanks a ton.
P.S - I am talking about the Indo-U.S Nuclear deal,
if you haven't read the news papers lately,
then Google it :P

Tibet -the larger picutre # 2
Come this August and curtain from yet another Olympic games will be raised, this time the host is Beijing,China. And the focus of the entire world will be on it. It will also mark a curtain raiser for China.
The current unrest in China's backyard is aimed at disrupting China's showcase into the world. It is aimed at defacing China at the world stage but doing so will also disturb the sanctity of the games.
I strongly believe that Sports and Politics should be treated differently. Yesterday the pro-Tibetan parties have out a warning about kidnapping and killing athletes. Something like this was shocking cause innocent lives will be at stake. Athletes will become mere puppets in the hands of their governments who cant back out reason being risking bad relation with China and if they go ahead a threat to their lives would loom over them.
Athletes prepare day in and day out for the Olympics, and when it comes down to this kind of conflict. The games no longer are about them but about dirty politics and hidden agendas which takes away the glory of Olympics.
Olympics are about victories and cheers and among all the present tensions I have my doubts on its spirit.
The news reads that Kiran Bedi, Rahul Gandhi, Baichun Bhutia have refused carring the Olympic torch. They all have personal reasons for the same but according to me it sends a wrong signal out. World over the pro-Tibetan lobbies have attached the Olympic torch and due to the same reason back home the torch relay is cut down to only 3 km in New Delhi.
These events make me sad cause targeting the Olympics and creating violence wont do any good to anyone but it would create more tensions and bad blood between the two parties.
I am not here to take sides, nor I intend to change your opinion about the same and may be I got some facts wrong but this is something which I have comprehended and I think is right.

Tibet - the larger picture # 1
China's economy is growing at a rate of 10% for almost a decade, the global markets are flooded by everything 'Made in China' from toys to electronics and because of its low cost, is has lead to Job cuts and closure of many industries world wide. China is ruthless when is comes to competing with their counter-parts. This makes China a big threat to biggies and has lead to the seeding of mass scale hatred against China.
This is evident from world wide protests against China after the recent Lhasa riots and a wave of Tibetan uprising, the western media to some extent is biased towards Tibet and has at times painted an incorrect picture of the events which are actually happening in the region. The riots in Lhasa by pro-Tibet supporters lead to mass scale destruction of property and killing of innocent civilians too. Some elements in the Tibetan freedom struggle are resorting to wrong methods for seeking their demands. The world wide support for its cause it just fueling their ways.
Tibet wants an autonomous control and the all the power in its own hands, this brings us back home to Kashmir, where the demands are the same but are we ready to give up Kashmir??
I guess not, so how do you expect China to give up its claim on Tibet.
May be I not aware of things and hard facts, maybe my judgment is wrong.
I am not siding with China here, but the recent protests have sparked doubts in my mind about the involvement of external elements who are using Tibet as a shoulder to fire their gun. A lot of countries are jealous of China's growth and secretly aiding Tibet for their own political gains.
No country will openly condemn China for its acts and support Tibet cause doing so means straining relations with Beijing which would be like stabbing itself in the stomach.
In fact Dharamshala houses Tibet's government in exile since 1959, but New Delhi never recognized it as legitimate. Then also Tibet is one of the major reasons of the bad taste of affairs between the two countries. And in the present scenario considering China's might, New Delhi seems to be in a fix about how to handle the situation. Till now India has taken a cordial approach but soon it will have to take a decision about the future course of action.

All that
I thought I wouldn't blog till I am done with my exams but just couldn't resist, lots has happened and I just gotta blog about them.
For starters, Manchester United slaughtered Arsenal by 4-0 ,my fingers are crossed EPL for Man U.
The IPL auctions took place, man!! money money everywhere , I don't know how its gonna effect Cricket so just waiting for it start.
I am supporting Mohali ' that's my home team', plus it has the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Brett Lee, Shreeshant:),Irfan Pathan .
Plus elections in Pakistan took place, thank god the regime of Musharaz ended, and I hope Pakistan sees the light of the day. They need to tackle with poverty and illiteracy which is breeding the seeds of terrorism in the country.
These are a few stick notes on which I will be writing soon:)

Shock N Disbelieve - The world has lost a Leader

BENAZIR BHUTTO
The news of her death came in 2 days back, and I was dumb stuck with disbelief and shock. She was one person who could bring some sense of normalcy in Pakistan. And with her death that hope is also buried.
I have seen many of her interviews and she came across to me, as a true leader who had a vision and plan for her country, who really wanted to bring a chance ,who felt for the people of Pakistan and was committed to fight the terrorists head on.
But with her death the crisis in Pakistan have just reached a threshold and could escalate any moment bringing India's safety into trouble. Pakistan has become a state of utter chaos and clutter where religious extremism breads ,its the 21st century ,the world is moving forward and I see Pakistan go back into the darkness of terror and disorientation.
It disturbs me a great deal to see all this cause the effect of this turmoil will soon be left in India with the terrorist groups getting stronger day after day.
May god rest her soul.
